Education Equity Alliance is a Victorian based organisation, led by experienced teachers and school leaders with a vision of an education system where students achieve equity of outcomes no matter their background or circumstances.

Our mission is to empower students and teachers from low-SES school communities to be partners in system-change for education equity.

We do this by empowering students and teachers through systems thinking workshops and activities and enabling collaboration and action through our School Network at both the school and system level.

In addition, through our collective impact initiative, The Collective, we are building a growing coalition of organisations to shift systemic barriers to education equity in low-SES communities, in partnership with students and teachers, to enable collective learning, action and advocacy.

The Collective is establishing an innovative Leadership Council bringing together students/young people, teachers/school leaders and member organisations to ensure lived experience is at the centre of our work.

The Leadership Council will:

• Drive the priorities of The Collective

• Input into The Collective's activities

• Lead The Collective's advocacy

 The EEA and our members will then spread this learning to catalyse system-wide change through knowledge sharing and advocacy activities to build education equity in Victorian schools.
