Teach For Australia is a national education non-profit working to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive through an excellent education, regardless of their postcode or background. We believe that great teachers and school leaders are the single most important in-school factor influencing student outcomes.
For more than 17 years, Teach For Australia has partnered with schools and communities experiencing educational disadvantage to recruit, prepare and support exceptional teachers where they are needed most. Through our employment-based Leadership Development Program, participants teach in schools while completing a Master of Teaching, supported by expert instructional coaching, mentoring, wellbeing services and ongoing professional learning.
Support from the PMF Foundation will strengthen this work by helping attract talented teachers into hard-to-staff schools, reducing financial barriers to entering the profession through our Access & Equity Fund, and providing evidence-based coaching and wellbeing support that helps teachers remain and thrive in the classroom. This investment will contribute to stronger teacher retention, improved student outcomes and more equitable access to quality education across regional, rural and low socio-economic communities.
By investing in teachers, we are investing in the futures of thousands of young Australians and helping build stronger schools, stronger communities and lasting educational equity.
