The Power in You Project is a not-for-profit organisation that supports vulnerable people by creating pathways out of disadvantage. This is achieved by fostering hope, building resilience, and providing practical supports that address both immediate needs and long-term goals.

The Power In You Project runs an open-ended day program, 7 days a week where participants can access a range of different group activities designed to build self-worth and promote connection in a safe, positive, and non-judgmental environment. These include peer-lead support groups, all-abilities gym sessions with personal trainers and community groups that foster new skills, friendships, and interests.

Additionally, participants connected with the NDIS can access 1:1 outreach support to assist them to live independently, participate in the community and work towards their goals.

The Power In You Project is also supporting a growing number of participants experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This support meets people where they are at and can range from providing immediate relief to people living on the street to advocacy that connects people with housing services or supports their transition to sustainable accommodation.

Right to Rest aims to fill gaps in the system and bring the different supports offered to people experiencing homelessness together under a single initiative. The right to rest initiative is a staged service model—ranging from immediate outreach and crisis accommodation to transitional housing—the initiative provides practical, person-centred solutions that meet people where they are and recognises that stable housing is central to health, safety, and dignity.
